The Scout Flier has never been offered in kit for outside of Wonderfest in
Japan. So basically if I want one, I gotta build my own. As usual I am not
content to try and make it canon, I have to put my own spin on it. This will be
the Hunting Scout, meant to go after ground troops and especially the
Krachenvogel and Oscar of the Strahl forces.
Where I am at now. I had to redo some details on the "turret" I guess its called. I
am not sure if it rotates or not on the original. And we have spoons, yeah! I had
to sand existing ones down, I guess we just have big mouths here in the US
compared to Japanese spoons. I'm not going to use an egg shaped front
sensor/radar thing, mine will be flatter. It's based on a 1/48 scale apache
longbow radar. it's coming along, coming along...
Does this make
anyone else think
of Mickey Mouse?
All right, getting darn near to paint time. I know that this is NOT accurate to Sensei's build, but merely an homage. I
guess mine is the Mk III version or something. The side spoons (- I guess sensors?) are a good deal bigger from what I
can tell from the original, and the detailing on the bottom, well, it's not even close. Hey, it's at least in the same family
right?.
Primered up. Flaws flaws flaws............all fixable though
The build phase is complete. I'll add the other cables and hoses after painting. I tried to make the
laser in the same style as the one on the Nutrocker hover tank. Overall I am pleased
