Scout Flier part 2, Painting WIP
Sometimes you have an idea about a paint scheme and it sounds great, then you try it and ehhh, not
so good. I was thinking a blue-grey with a cloudy mottled green would be cool, kinda like a cloudy sky.
It was ok, but just no zing for me, plus I have done that scheme to death with a few other kits. So back
to the drawing board. It's now dark yellow with some Khaki mottled lines.
I started looking at my desk, and realized damn I have a lot of tools, it's like I'm afraid they will run out. This is about
1/3 of the total paints I own. The dremel bits holder is the most useful thing I have EVER built, hands down. And
easiest.
Decals are on. I cannot say how much I like using the microscale system, their gloss airbrushes great. The decal
setting solution really gets them to snuggle down. I used whatever decals I had on hand, just like for the rest of the
Flier. I wanted lots of stencilling, like a real aircraft. Looking at the decals, there are lots of things to warn you about...
